Les Riceys countryside
Located at about 31 miles from Troyes, Les Riceys is within the heart of La Cote des bar vineyard of Champagne Ardenne division.
It has got a vine area of 17.83 carucate (866 ha), this is the largest vineyard within La Champagne division.
Compound of three villages namely: Ricey Bas, Ricey Haut, and Ricey Haute Rive, Les Riceys is a beautiful French countryside joining both the architecture of the French Renaissance through its three churches, and a real modern way of living in La Laigne vineyard valley.
You can taste our « champagne », you will love our country and enjoy how quiet it is. You will also have the opportunity to experience a visit in our cellars.
Les Riceys is the solely countryside in the Champagne Ardenne Division with 3 french certified labelled origin, namely AOC. AOC is the highest french classification of national agricultural products, indicating that the concerned product meets strict requirements in production and fulfilment of certain properties.
These three AOC are the following:
• Champagne des Riceys
• Coteau Champenois des Riceys
• Rosé des Riceys
Le Rosé des Riceys is a high quality drink made from pinot noir grapes obtained thanks to the best sun-lighted areas of the countryside. This is a unique taste wine which can be regarded to as one among the best vins rosés made in France.
Other many country products can be tasted and many interesting places can be visited. For children, there is the Nigloland parc, at about 31 miles from La Maison des Vendanges.
